An Act to Repeal the
New Brunswick Advisory Council on Seniors Act
Her Majesty, by and with the advice and
consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:
1 The assets, liabilities, rights and obligations of the body known
as the New Brunswick Advisory Council on Seniors are, without further
action, transferred to and vested in the Minister of Family and Community
Services.
2 The appointments of persons as members
of the New Brunswick Advisory Council on Seniors are revoked.
3 No action, application or other proceeding lies or shall be instituted
against the Minister of Family and Community Services or the Crown
in right of the Province as a result of the revocation of appointments
under section 2.
4 The body known as the New Brunswick Advisory Council on Seniors is
dissolved.
5 Any reference to the New Brunswick Advisory
Council on Seniors, to the Chair or Vice-Chair of the Council or to
the members of the Council in any Act of the Legislature other than
this Act, in any regulation under an Act of the legislature or in
any other instrument or document shall be read as a reference to the
Minister of Family and Community Services, unless the context otherwise
requires.
6 The New
Brunswick Advisory Council on Seniors Act, chapter N-3.03 of
the Acts of New Brunswick, 2003, is repealed.
7 This
Act comes into force on April 1, 2007.
