No One Left Behind Act

WHEREAS there must be direct accountability of decision makers who restrict or withhold access to electricity;

THEREFORE, Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:

1                   The Minister of Energy shall not allow NB Power to disconnect residential electricity customers with legitimate economic needs, as determined by the Minister, each year from November 1 to April 30.

2                   This Act comes into force on a day to be fixed by proclamation.
