An Act to Amend the Guardianship of Children Act

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:

1 Section 1 of the Guardianship of Children Act, chapter 167 of the Revised Statutes, 2011, is amended

(a)  by repealing the definition “parent”;

(b)  in the definition “child” by striking out “, whether born before or after this Act comes into force, and includes a child whose father and mother are not married to one another”.
