An Act to Amend the Elections Act

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:

1 The Elections Act, chapter E-3 of the Revised Statutes, 1973, is amended by adding after section 4 the following:

Transitional provision

4.1 Despite section 4, if a regulation under section 21 of the Electoral Boundaries and Representation Act is made but not in force, district associations for each electoral district described in the regulation may be registered under section 135 in contemplation of the coming into force of the regulation.
