An Act to Amend the Political Process Financing Act

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:

1 Section 39 of the Political Process Financing Act, chapter P-9.3 of the Acts of New Brunswick, 1978, is amended by adding after subsection (1.1) the following:

39(1.2)       Notwithstanding subsection (1), an individual, corporation or trade union may,

 during a calendar year, make a donation not in excess of six thousand dollars in support of the campaign of a contender for the leadership of a political party or for a contender for the candidacy of a political party in an electoral district.
