An Act to Amend the Medical Services Payment Act

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:

1 Section 1 of the French version of the Medical Services Payment Act, chapter M-7 of the Revised Statutes, 1973, is amended

(a)  by repealing the definition « Ministre »;

(b)  by adding the following definition in alphabetical order:

« ministre » désigne le ministre de la Santé; (Minister)

2 Section 12 of the Act is amended by adding after paragraph (k) the following:

(k.1)  authorizing the Minister to provide a declaration of residency form;

3 The French version of the Act is amended by striking out “Ministre” in the following provisions and substituting “ministre”:

(a)  section 4 wherever it appears;

(b)  paragraph 8(1)h);

(c)  section 8.1

( i) subsection (1);

( ii) subsection (2);

(d)  section 8.3

( i) subsection (1);

( ii) subsection (2);

(e)  section 9;

(f)  paragraph 12b.02).

4 This Act comes into force on a day to be fixed by proclamation.
