An Act to Amend the Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification Act

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:

1 Subsection 46(1) of the Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification Act, chapter 19 of the Acts of New Brunswick, 2012, is amended by repealing the definition “journeyperson” and substituting the following:

“journeyperson” means a person who holds (compagnon)

(a)  a certificate of qualification or diploma of apprenticeship issued under this Act, or

(b)  a valid equivalent to a certificate of qualification referred to in paragraph (a), issued in another province or a territory of Canada.
