An Act to Amend the Financial and Consumer Services Commission Act

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:

1 Section 63 of the Financial and Consumer Services Commission Act, chapter 30 of the Acts of New Brunswick, 2013, is amended

(a)  by renumbering the section as subsection 63(1);

(b)  in subsection (1)

( i) in paragraph (d) by adding “under financial and consumer services legislation” after “amending rules”;

( ii) in paragraph (e) by adding “of this Act or under relevant provisions of other financial and consumer services legislation” after “paragraph 60(1)(b)”;

( iii) by repealing paragraph (f) and substituting the following:

(f)  governing the commencement of rules made by the Commission under financial and consumer services legislation and establishing the period during which those rules are effective.

(c)  by adding after subsection (1) the following:

63( 2) A regulation made under paragraph (1)(d), (e) or (f) does not apply to rules made by the Commission under the Securities Act.
