An Act to Amend the Auditor General Act

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:

1                  The Auditor General Act, chapter 118 of the Revised Statutes, 2011, is amended by adding after subsection 3(3.1) the following:

3(3.11) The selection committee shall be established not fewer than 90 days before the end of the term of the Auditor General.

3(3.12) If the office of Auditor General becomes vacant more than one year before the end of the term of the Auditor General, the selection committee shall be established within 30 days after the vacancy occurs.
