An Act Respecting Nurse Practitioners

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:

Vital Statistics Act

1( 1) Section 29 of the Vital Statistics Act, chapter V-3 of the Acts of New Brunswick, 1979, is amended

(a)  in subsection (2) by striking out “medical practitioner” and substituting “medical practitioner or nurse practitioner”;

(b)  in subsection (4) by striking out “or a medical practitioner” and substituting “or a medical practitioner or nurse practitioner”.

1( 2) Subsection 46(1) of the Act is amended by striking out “medical practitioners” and substituting “medical practitioners, nurse practitioners”.

2 This Act comes into force on April 1, 2017.
