An Act to Amend the Inshore Fisheries Representation Act

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:

1 Section 1 of the Inshore Fisheries Representation Act, chapter 174 of the Revised Statutes, 2011, is amended

(a)  in the definition “region” by striking out “Region 2 or Region 3” and substituting “Region 2, Region 3 or Region 4”;

(b)  by repealing the definition “Region 3” and substituting the following:

“Region 3” means the area following the coastline of the Province bordering on the Bay of Fundy from the border with the Province of Nova Scotia to Goose River and includes Grand Manan Island and Whitehead Island. (Région 3)

(c)  by adding the following definition in alphabetical order:

“Region 4” means the area following the coastline of the Province bordering on the Bay of Fundy from Goose River to the border with the State of Maine and includes all islands in the area except Grand Manan Island and Whitehead Island. (Région 4)

2 This Act comes into force on a day to be fixed by proclamation.
