An Act to Amend An Act to Incorporate The New Brunswick Registered Barbers’ Association

WHEREAS The New Brunswick Registered Barbers’ Association prays that it be enacted as hereinafter set forth;

THEREFORE, Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:

1              Subsection 19(3) of An Act to Incorporate The New Brunswick Registered Barbers’ Association, chapter 82 of the Acts of New Brunswick, 2007, is amended by striking out “and due notice of all such examinations shall be given by advertisement in one or more public newspapers”.

2              Subsection 22(1) of the Act is amended by striking out “; and massaging the neck, shoulders and scalp” and substituting “, massaging the neck, shoulders and scalp; and any other act prescribed by the by-laws”.

3              Subsection 22(2) of the Act is repealed.

4              Subsection 22(3) of the Act is amended by striking out “; and massaging the neck, shoulders and scalp” and substituting “, massaging the neck, shoulders and scalp; and any other act prescribed by the by-laws”.

5              Subsection 24(2) of the Act is repealed and the following is substituted:

24(2)        A member of the Association shall not be subject to any of the provisions of the Cosmetology Act.
