An Act to Amend the Prescription Drug Payment Act

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:

1 Section 3 of the Prescription Drug Payment Act, chapter P-15.01 of the Acts of New Brunswick, 1975, is amended

ain paragraph (b) by adding “, subject to any maximum dispensing negotiated pursuant to a regulation enacted pursuant to this Act” after “entitled services”;

bin paragraph (c) by adding “, subject to any maximum dispensing negotiated pursuant to a regulation enacted pursuant to this Act” after “entitled service”;

cby adding after paragraph (c) the following:

c.1the amount to be paid by the Minister for professional services provided by pharmacies that are beyond those related to the dispensing fee;

2 The Act is amended by adding after section 3 the following:

Bargaining Unit

3.01 The New Brunswick Pharmacists’ Association is hereby constituted the sole bargaining agent on behalf of pharmacists in all discussions with respect to fees for services rendered by pharmacists in relation to this Act and its regulations.
