An Act to Amend the Queen’s Counsel and Precedence Act
Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:
1 Section 1 of the English version of the Queen’s Counsel and Precedence Act, chapter 113 of the Revised Statutes, 2012, is amended by striking out “as he or she considers” and substituting “as the Lieutenant-Governor considers”.
2 Section 2 of the English version of the Act is amended by striking out “of his or her appointment” and substituting “of the person’s appointment”.
3 The Act is amended by adding after section 2 the following: 
Revocation of Queen’s Counsel
2.1( 1) If a person appointed as Her Majesty’s Counsel is disbarred in accordance with the Law Society Act, 1996, the appointment is automatically revoked on the date of the disbarment.
2.1( 2) If a person appointed as Her Majesty’s Counsel was disbarred in accordance with the Law Society Act, 1996 or a predecessor of that Act before the commencement of this section, the appointment is automatically revoked on the commencement of this section.
4 Subsection 4(1) of the English version of the Act is amended by striking out “if he or she considers” and substituting “if the Lieutenant-Governor considers”.
