Hon. Robert Gauvin

Robert Gauvin was elected for a third time to represent the riding of Shediac Bay-Dieppe in the 2024 general election. He was subsequently appointed Minister of Public Safety and Minister responsible for La Francophonie.

Mr. Gauvin has worked in the cultural sector in New Brunswick for over 25 years as a writer, director and actor. He has won several awards at both the provincial and national levels, including a Masque Award for best production outside Quebec in 2003. He was involved in teaching playwriting, something he did for six years in southeastern New Brunswick, including three years at the Grande-Digue school.
