Hon. Isabelle Thériault
- Minister of Tourism, Heritage and Culture
Isabelle Thériault is the member for the Caraquet riding in New Brunswick. First elected in 2018, then re-elected in 2020 and 2024, she is currently the Minister of Tourism, Heritage and Culture.
Before going into politics, Ms. Thériault had a prominent artistic career. An experienced musician, she spent over 15 years touring Canada, the United States, Europe, Asia, and Africa. She was the musical director of the groups Ode à l’Acadie, Les Muses, and DRUM, worked as a multi-instrumentalist with many renowned artists, and ran several major productions for national television.
Highly engaged in her community, Ms. Thériault served as director of the Festival acadien de Caraquet, opened the bistro La Brôkerie, and founded the Académie Isabelle Thériault music school. Her achievements have earned her many distinctions, including awards from the Éloizes, Music NB, and the East Coast Music Awards and the title of Woman Entrepreneur of the Year for the Acadian Peninsula.
A proud ambassador of Acadia, Ms. Thériault champions her language, culture, and people. Believing deeply in the dynamism of rural communities, she is dedicated to their vitality and future. As the mother of Léo, partner of Serge, and stepmother of Arianne and Chloé, she approaches both her family life and public commitment with energy and authenticity.
