The New Brunswick Legislative Internship Program was approved by the Speaker’s Office and the Legislative Administration Committee of the Legislative Assembly in 2019.

It is overseen by a Steering Committee composed of the Legislative Librarian of the New Brunswick Legislative Assembly, and members of the Political Science Departments of St Thomas University, The University of New Brunswick, L’Université de Moncton, and Mount Allison University.

The Director of the Program currently is Dr. Tom Bateman of the Political Science Department of St. Thomas University.

The Program enjoys the generous support of the Future GNB initiative of the New Brunswick Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training, and Labour.
